Lego Dislodges Ferrari as World’s Most Powerful Brand

According to leading brand valuation firm, Brand Finance, Ferrari is no longer the world’s most valuable brand, upstaged by Lego.  This despite having held the title for two consecutive years.

Brand Finance, which specialises in brand valuation, ranks the world’s leading brands by analysing factors such as a company’s marketing efforts and equity, as defined by the goodwill of its customers and employees.  The impact of marketing and good will on the company’s performance are also taken in to consideration.

Apparently, The Lego Movie was a key driver in its increase in worldwide brand recognition grossing nearly $500M worldwide.  Other factors in Lego’s success include its video games and franchised Lego kits including Star Wards and Ferrari.

Ferrari, on the other hand, ranked as the world’s tenth most valuable brand.
